The Williams Racing Developments chain drive differentials are designed to be drop-in replacements for the Quaife style differential commonly used in D-Sports, C-Sports, F1000, and many other chain drive applications. Built from aerospace materials and designed using the latest in CAD and Finite Element Analysis software, our product offers a much needed alternative with increased performance at a lower weight. Typical weight savings are 5-6 lbs of rotational weight. Internals are based on the WRD race winning modified Salisbury limited-slip differential with multiple ramp angles available for fine tuning. The fourth generation system features improved digital, hard filtering and circuit protection, easier, more flexible programming, a noise resistant, single chip, ECU design and batch fired injectors for reliability and ease of hookup. A programmable engine management system like the SDS EM-4 series allows the precise changing of fuel delivery and ignition timing according to the individual requirements of the particular application.
Unlike other programmable systems on the market, EM-4 does not require a laptop for programming.
This feature makes it far less expensive and much easier to use than it's competitors.
The SDS EM-4 can replace the entire factory EFI system on most engines or upgrade older
carburetted engines to port type fuel injection with ignition control. EM-4 uses speed/density to calculate engine airflow rates. The advantage of this method is the elimination of the bulky, troublesome and sometimes restrictive airflow meters/ MAF used on many OE systems.
By selecting the correct MAP sensor, boost pressures up to 60 psi may be used. EM-4 is designed to control port type injection only.
It can be configured to drive low or high impedance injectors and gives a good idle even with very large injectors fitted.
With SDS, the programming software is embedded- nothing to load and values are retained in memory even with power off.
Programming can be accomplished with the engine turned off or running. Four gauge modes permit real-time monitoring of all sensor inputs to the ECU.
A mixture trim knob permits a full + or - 50% change in pulse width from the programmed values.
Major SDS components are housed in quality aluminum enclosures and we offer a 1 year warranty on parts and labor.

I don't see prices for the engines posted online -

But in their downloadable brochure it says $5000 for the 85hp version
and $7500 for the 170hp motor, but that 170hp motor is only 153 lbs! This could be adapted to any number of trike kits, but to be fair,
it's quite expensive all things considered, and mileage and emissions both are things I'd want to know more about.
There's also this very small 50 hp rotary 'kart' engine, but small and light could translate to a
usable power-plant in the right trike -

Here's a very inexpensive Korean built engine made by 'Hyosung' (used to build products for Suzuki) that could possibly be used for a RT kit. It comes on a few different model Hyosung motorcycles including the Hyosung GT650R with an approximate advertised price of $4200 (05' model) - $5800 (06' model) depending on whose website you're on, GV650 Avitar Cruiser $6199, GT650 Comet Street Bike $5300, GT650S Street Bike $4000 and there's a new GT650X Street Fighter model. I'm sure you could buy a complete engine as a replacement motor for a reasonable price considering these whole bikes appear to sell in the $4200 - $6200 range. One member mentioned that the motors by themselves are only about $1200 USD. Here's what the Comet looks like and the motor -

This compact water cooled 650cc 90 degree V twin, DOHC 8 valve engine incorporates the latest technology and produces 79 horsepower compared to Suzuki's SV650 at 70hp. That’s 5hp more than the Suzuki SV650’s claimed output to which the Hyosung derivative will always be compared. Torque also gets a bit of a boost, up 6.9kg-m at 7600rpm to the Suzuki’s 6.5 kg-m at 7200rpm. A three year warranty is offered on the engine with 18 months covering the rest of the bike.
Designed in Hamamatsu, Japan, it sets a new benchmark in V-twin performance. It has dual 39mm Mikuni downdraft carburetors, CDI ignition, 6-speed transmission, low restriction stainless steel exhaust, environmentally friendly secondary air intake system, which meets all world standards, including Euro 2. Also has roller bearing cam shafts, 2 piece spring dampened bevel silent primary drive gears, dual squelch combustion chambers, oil cooled, etc. Note: some say oil cooled, some say water cooled, so maybe this varies by model.

The PAL-V, a personal air and land vehicle
that's a cross between a gyrocopter, a car and a motorcycle / trike. On the ground, the slim line, aerodynamic 3-wheel vehicle is as comfortable as a luxury car.
But has the agility of a motorbike, thanks to its patented cutting-edge ‘tilting’ system.
The single rotor and propeller are folded away until the PAL-V is ready to fly.
Airborne, the PAL-V flies under the 4,000 feet (1,500 m) floor of commercial air space.
With land and air space reaching capacity, this is some of the last free space.
The PAL-V is highly fuel-efficient and powered by an environmentally certified
gas or diesel car engine. It runs on petrol or diesel like a conventional car and can reach speeds of up to
125 MPH both on land and in the air.
Its straightforward autogyro flying technology means that the PAL-V is economically and technically feasible in comparison to other forms of air travel.
Like a helicopter, it has a Very Short Take Off and Vertical Landing (VSTOVL) capability making it possible to land practically anywhere.

A license to fly the PAL-V is more accessible than one for a helicopter or plane because of the regulations controlling autogyro craft.
In the United States and soon in Europe the infrastructure is in place for ‘digital freeways’ that provide a safe corridor using GPS technology to aid regulation and avoid collisions for low flying vehicles.
What makes the PAL-V attractive is the convenience of fully integrated door to door transportation.
Providing smooth transition from road to air without having to change vehicle.
The versatility to allow the driver to change their mind.
Such flexibility and independence would appeal to business and recreational users alike.

techniques out there from guys doing radical custom bike building. Some are doing the glass over foam like the TriMagnum, and there are
some other guys doing fenders and bodies by stretching spandex over a wire frame or foam buck, then painting on resin to harden the cloth.
This gives a base shape that is stiff enough to layup additional layers of glass.
Sure beats mold building for 1-off builds.
