BRA CV3 and CX3 Reverse Trike Plans (order now)
The
BRA CV3 is now available for home building using plan sets from the original
manufacturers – BRA Motor Works. The
plans were first introduced in 1998 and many successful builds have been
noted. We know of plan built cars in the UK, USA, Canada, Spain, Australia
and France.
The
plan set includes large scale drawings, chassis manufacture notes, build manual
and reference photographs. The plan set is available at almost half of the
original 1998 price and now costs just £89 GBP = $176.61 USD as of 5/2007.
The CV3 plan set includes the following:
The plans were obviously drawn before the introduction of UK SVA (Motorcycle Single Vehicle Approval) regulations and builders building their car after the introduction of MSVA with the intention of registering it for use on the public highway were advised to familiarize themselves with the MSVA regulations and build their car accordingly. We know of at least three (there were probably many more that never told us) plan built cars which passed the UK MSVA test and were successfully registered for road use.
Some
changes to the plans may be required to satisfy the requirements of the MSVA
test and we are unable to offer any support or guidance on such changes as we
are unfamiliar with the current regulations. There are many sources of
MSVA information on the internet. Our own website is also a useful
resource for plan builds and owners of BRA’s. Please contact us via our
website. Our website includes an on-line store where the plans are
listed. Plans are usually dispatched within 24hours of payment.
